Hitting a Better Tee Shot
Improving your tee shots, while getting more distance, try swinging less harder to hit your ball straighter. You have hit the sweetspot of the clubface and notice that your ball flies farther than that shot you hit off center, in the heel or toe. You will lose 10 yards of distance, every time you hit a quarter inch from the center of the clubface.
Here are some important keys to help you drive the ball better.
-Tee your golf ball higher
-Maintain your grip pressure light
-On your downswing shift lower body first
-Sweep the ball off the tee through impact
-Completing your follow-through will creat clubhead speed
Practice this Indoors:
-In the mirror practice your driving set-up
-Check your alignment, make sure that you are set-up behind the ball at address
-Your set-up is to promote a sweeping motion
Practice this Outside:
-Train yourself to swing through your target
-Hit drives to targets. Pick a target on the fairway and swing easy.
